Bait & Switch

It looks like a good app. It looks like it should work well. It looks great. However this "free" app is severely crippled unless you purchase iBoostup Premium for $10. Theres nearly nothing other than a QuockClean that can be done with this app as it stands. They dont tell you this until youve downloaded it. I dont have any trouble with paying for an app. I do have a huge problem with Bait & Switch. Ive deleted it without any further testing.

Corrupt App - Does not Launch!

With the latest update, the update is not working. I have tried with Lion and now with Mountain Lion. It fails to launch!!! Please fix this ASAP!

does not work

it doesnt work with mountain lion please help!!!!!

Walk away...

Walk away, its a waste of time. I followed their instructions,-see bottom of this review- even tried to delete the "com." files in the terminal and got the reply " no such file…" this is also with their 3.3 version as well. Paid $1.99 and will not upgrade to the $9.99 version. Feel like I have been duped and now the attempt to be suckered into spending more money on a company that does this ! ? I think not. From their support page: 00. (updated) iBoostUp fails to launch after an update with error "iBoostUp is damaged and cant be opened" iBoostUp fails to launch after an update with error "iBoostUp is damaged and cant be opened" Weve had intermittent reports of this occurring with our 3.1 and 3.2 updates. This issue is not specific to iBoostUp and related to a problem with the App Store itself. To resolve, please: Remove iBoostUp from your Applications Remove com.ituneup.ituneup.plist and com.ituneup.ituneup.plist.lockfile from ~/Library/Preferences Download iBoostUp from the Mac App Store

Update

I could no longer use it after the upgrade as it wont let me select my HD

So-So app

Helps cleans web browsers and gives you more space on your hard drive. However, you need to pay to try any other features. It would be nice to have a couple of days trial to get the feel of what this app can do. +It looks user friendly -Very limited features

4/5

It is good, does what it says, a little expensive for what it is, but cleans off about 600mb every six months if I forget to do the clean up myself. Great for peace of mind, and can see this app as a valuable asset for older mac units. The out of date software check is not that great mind you, firefox was uptodate but this program insisted it was not. A hard drive manual defrag option would be nice in the next update.

It SLOWS DOWN my mac instead of "boosting" it!

App works really SLOW, when I saw how much memory I had via little app Memory Sweeper while running ONLY iBoostUp, I was terryfied. It was around 10.5MB!!! All I could do was "quick clean" and it wasnt quick at all. Any other actions in this app (or outside it, while it was running in background) just made my computer freeze. When I finally forced closing it, Memory Sweeper showed me 3264 MB of free RAM. I have iMac 2008 with Mountain Lion.

This app has gone downhill

This used to be a wonderful app, I recently deceded to re-download it after 8 months. love the new layout, but the program is now extremely slow, and shows repeated options, for example, empty trash bin shows up 3 times in a row! Please fix this and make it work again! untill then my rating stands,

hate it,Many bugs…..

My mac is pro not air, System disk 250 not 192,safari has 33 cookies not 6 cookies, and can not remove my safari cookies. startup items feature can not use.

App does not start up after Mountain Lion upgrade.

When I open the app it says to delete and download again from app store. Did that. Nothing helps. This app is not working since the mountain lion upgrade. The worst part is, even though I upgraded to premium after buying the free one, when I want to download premium again it asks to buy. Ridiculous!! The app was one of my favourite.

Can

I updated the app and now it wont open. Keeps telling me to delete and re-install. Did it 10 times, still not working.

Bug With Update

Folowing the instructions in the FAQ does fix the problem where the application says it wont open and to reinstall. If you click iBoostUp Support on the upper right of this page it takes you to their FAQ and they explain the simple step to fix the problem. Its not a bug with the app but with the app store downloading their app. To fix the problem you simply delete a single preference file that got corrupted and it reinstalls it with the rest up the update when you reinstall tha app. It took me about a minute and a half to fix.

Reinstall!

I upgraded to premium but after few weeks it said it is damaged. So i have to buy it again to install!! is horrible

Worked Great !!!!

Read previous reviews and was skeptical, however, noted last review was in July and is now September. I gave it a shot and it opened up and installed no problems or questions. I ran the application, it asked me to review some files and delete or skip them (I skipped them), it asked me to close the browser, and took care of the rest. App freed up 437mb . Its free, easy, simple to use, and does exactly what it says it is going to do. Macbook Pro OS X Lion

STOP …… DO NOT PURCHASE!

Keeps telling me to reinstall! Will not run just error messages!

Stopped working

Since the update it wont open. I get the same error everyone else is talking about. I even tried their supposed fix. But it did not work either.

Orginially Great and Now it Won

This product was originally great and had a bunch of add-ons I purchased but I went to re-run and it said I had to Delete and re-download. Im not re-paying ten dollars and repaying for all the upgrades! I want me money back this was a rip off!

Crashes at startup

Yet another crappy app...

same here

paid for upgrade, but totally useless now.
